Role - Senior Account Handler
Salary - £45,000
Location - Horsham
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Account Handler to join our team. As a Senior Account Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our commercial insurance business. You will work closely with brokers and clients to provide exceptional service and support, while managing a portfolio of accounts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to understand their needs and provide tailored insurance solutions
- Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date
- Collaborate with underwriters and other stakeholders to negotiate terms and conditions for insurance policies
- Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and changes in the insurance market to provide proactive advice to clients
- Handle inquiries, claims, and other client requests in a timely and professional manner
- Contribute to the growth of the business through cross-selling and up selling opportunities
- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance, with a strong understanding of the brokerage environment
- Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using insurance management systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ACII or equivalent would be advantageous
Day-to-Day
- Communicating with brokers and clients to understand their insurance needs and provide suitable solutions
- Managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all records
- Collaborating with underwriters and other stakeholders to negotiate terms and conditions for insurance policies
- Staying updated on industry trends and changes in the insurance market to provide proactive advice to clients
- Handling inquiries, claims, and other client requests in a timely and professional manner
