A leading broker that continues to grow organically and via strategic new business wins is looking to expand its Risk Management Team with the addition of a home-based Risk Surveyor. This role is pivotal in ensuring the company's underwriting decisions are informed, accurate, and align with the latest industry standards.

As a Risk Surveyor, you will conduct risk assessments, typically for SME clients such as property owners, manufacturers and leisure businesses. These instructions are initiated at new business stage via Underwriters to ensure their insurance policy is fit for purpose. You will attend site, complete the survey, write a report including any recommendations, improvements and relevant photos and send these details back to the Underwriters. Due to the nature of this role, these clients can be located anywhere across the UK, however they are predominantly across the Midlands, South West and South East.

To be considered, you will have proven experience as a Risk Surveyor or in a similar risk assessment role on behalf of insurance underwriters. You should possess in-depth knowledge of risk management principles and insurance underwriting processes. In addition, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to build relationships with clients and colleagues. Industry qualifications in insurance or risk management are highly desirable, but not essential.
